The Parkway stage is open.
Live Arts brings theater, music, dance, spoken word, comedy, interdisciplinary performance, and new cultural experiences to the Parkway. We work with Baltimore-area artists and organizations to develop and present original work—not only offering a stage, but creating space for experimentation, rehearsal, technical development, and connection with audiences.
Artist Residencies
Our Live Arts Residency supports Baltimore-area artists as they take projects from development to public performance in the Parkway’s historic Theater 1. Each resident receives a stipend, rehearsal access, technical support, and time to build ambitious work. The program welcomes projects that cross disciplines, take creative risks, and use the Parkway in unexpected ways.
Organizations in Residence
The Parkway also provides a home for Baltimore-area organizations whose work strengthens and expands the city’s creative community.
Our inaugural Organization in Residence, AZIZA PE&CE, connects young Baltimoreans with creative practice, workforce development, and pathways into the arts. These partnerships help make the Parkway an active platform for Baltimore artists and organizations—not only a place where work is presented.
